Don’t miss out on seeing Sue’s new collection of Felt pictures at Holmfirth Artweek from the 7th- 13th July 2019 at the Civic Hall, Holmfirth.



Fringe exhibition 2019


Sue will be showing her new works of art at Holmfirth Art Week Fringe Exhibition at Totties Bistro and Garden Centre on Friday 5th July 5pm until 7pm.  Don’t miss her new collection of felted scarves and new treescape felted pictures.
 Drinks and nibbles will be available, so do come and have a chat with Sue.

Holmfirth Civic Hall | Artweek 2019

Sue will also be exhibiting 4 new pieces of work in the main Artweek exhibition including ‘Red Dance’ and ‘Green Dance’. Dancing in the Trees & a homage to Alphonse Mucha
. She will be demonstrating felt making on the preview evening, Sunday and Monday if you want to pop in and have a chat.

Felting Workshops | Summer 2019

Why not bring out your creative spirit and celebrate a special occasion.
 Sue’s next workshop is in her Mytholmbridge Art Studio, Luke Lane, Holmfirth HD9 7TB on Saturday 7th September and Sunday 8th September 2019. Make a wallhanging or a scarf. You can choose to come for one day or two, if you fancy spending a little more time on your project or working on something more ambitious!

You’ll enjoy working with colour, sampling, layering and developing your ideas into a wall hanging, cushion square or hat.  
The workshop fee for the Saturday is £65.00 or £60.00 if you bring a friend! If you want to come on the Sunday too, it costs just £99 for 2 days of fun! This includes a homemade 2 course lunch/wine, served (hopefully) in our cottage garden & all your workshop materials.

Ready for Summer!

Sue is delighted to announce her extended workshop studio will be ready for use this summer. 

She is not holding a Fringe Exhibition at her Studio for Holmfirth Art Week 2018 but will be the artist exhibiting at Tottties Bistro Garden Centre, where she will be showcasing her recent collection of Desiguel designer shawls as well as small nuno felted art works and a small collection of felted jewellery.

Sue is delighted to announce that (although her studio has not yet undergone the extension and refurbishment) Mytholmbridge Art Studio is once again part of the Holmfirth Artweek Fringe Exhibition which is taking place on the 2nd-7th July 2017 between the hours of 2pm and 7pm.

Sue Clay will be exhibiting a new range of natural wool, felted and printed works and once again welcoming the following artists…

Breaking News from Feltgood

Mytholmbridge Art Studio is about to have a makeover. It is expanding into the ground floor which will provide another studio space to work in.

Watch this space for the new launch in 2017!

Sue is in the process of moving house so ‘ in house’ workshops will now be on hold until spring 2017.

Australia beckons in the New Year where she will be visiting Felt West in Perth and her family.

Workshop News

Sue has run several workshops in her studio this year.

These included:

Designing wall hangings

White textured scarves which were subsequently dyed with landscape dyes.

Nuno felted scarves.

3D workshops…bags/hats

These also included a  scrumptious 2 course lunch and wine and lots of fun was had.

She has also worked with groups further a field:

Sue is in the process of moving house so ‘in house’ workshops will be on hold now until Spring 2017.

New Commissions

Sue has created some large wall hangings for Reliance Gears.

Sue has also been working on a community project in Brockholes, creating a wallhanging of St. George and the Dragon.

She is undertaking  an interior design Commission for a New Restaurant opening up  in Huddersfield in November which are large nuno felted panels.
